In memory of our sweet Missy. Missy was given to rescue in August 2008 and was 13 years old. We decided she was too old to adopt out and we would probably just have her a few months anyway so we kept her as our own. When Missy arrived her name was Zippy, but she wasn’t so zippy anymore so we called her Missy. Missy was still full of life and would loved to have chased the cat, if she could just get up a little faster.. in her younger days, she chased cats, squirrels or anything she could. You could tell she was probably an ornery little girl when she was young. Missy was my shadow indoors or outside. She was accepting of all the foster sheepies that came to visit. She was a quiet little girl that was always waiting for her Sunday morning ride in the car or the next treat. She taught us there is a lot of joy and fun in adopting an elderly sheepie.
Missy died in August 2010. She had lost her hearing, her sight and was full of arthritis, but she still loved us. Missy was a treasure to have the last two years of her life. We are grateful her family trusted us to take care of her and love her.
